Webhooks are managed in the Groovin extension only, under Settings → MCP and API → Webhooks. There is no route to set them up from the API or the MCP.

Add an address

  1. Paste your address in the row of the event you want.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Copy your signing secret if it is shown: this is your first webhook.
Groovin sends a test event to the address when you save. The address is saved even if that test fails, and the result tells you what happened.

Test it

Click Send test event. It goes to the saved address, with is_test: true, and is not retried. Copy sample payload gives you an example of the event, handy to set up your tool or to show to your AI assistant.

What makes a valid address

  • It must use https, on the standard port.
  • It must be a public domain name, not an IP address.
  • It cannot contain a user name, a password or a # part. A query string is fine.
  • It can be up to 2,048 characters long.
  • Local and internal names, such as localhost, are refused, as is any domain that points to a private address.
Treat your address as a secret if it holds a token.

Your signing secret

You have one signing secret for both addresses.
  • Reveal shows it again.
  • Rotate creates a new one. For 24 hours, Groovin signs with both, so you have time to update your tools. You cannot rotate again during that time.
See Verify signatures.

Limits

You can save 20 times and send 10 test events per 10 minutes.

Turn it off

Click Remove to delete the address. Your tool can also answer 410 Gone to a real event, which turns the webhook off.
