How it’s different from your CRM’s MCP

Attio MCP, HubSpot MCP and Affinity MCP are powerful tools for querying and updating data already inside your CRM. But they can only see what has already been synced. If a prospect messaged you on LinkedIn yesterday and hasn’t been added to your CRM yet, those MCPs won’t know they exist.Groovin MCP reaches into live LinkedIn data — your inbox, your pending invitations, your connections — so your AI assistant can work with contacts and conversations that haven’t touched your CRM yet. Think of it as the missing layer between LinkedIn and your CRM-native AI tools.
The two approaches complement each other well. You might use Groovin MCP to discover a new LinkedIn contact and create a CRM record, then rely on the Attio, HubSpot or Affinity MCP to manage that record going forward.

You don’t need to memorise tool names. Just describe what you want to your AI assistant in plain language — for example, “Check if Maria from Sequoia is in my CRM” — and the assistant will call the right Groovin tools automatically.
Nothing is sent on LinkedIn without your explicit approval. For messages and connection requests, your assistant shows you the draft and the recipient, and only sends once you confirm.

Security & data handling

Groovin is built on a GDPR-compliant gateway model:
  • Data passes through, not into, Groovin — LinkedIn data retrieved by the MCP server is forwarded directly to your CRM or returned to your AI assistant. Groovin does not store message content on its servers.
  • LinkedIn credentials never leave your browser — authentication is handled by the Groovin browser extension running locally on your machine. Your LinkedIn login is never transmitted to Groovin’s infrastructure.
  • No message content stored — Groovin logs activity metadata (such as timestamps and participant information) for syncing purposes, but the content of your LinkedIn messages is never persisted on Groovin servers.
  • CRM data stays in your CRM — once a contact or activity is written to Attio, HubSpot or Affinity, it lives in your CRM under your own account and data policies.
