# MCP errors

> What your assistant tells you when something goes wrong, and how to fix it.

## Every Groovin call suddenly fails

Your connection has almost certainly expired. Some AI tools do not renew their sign-in on their own. This is not a Groovin outage, and not a LinkedIn restriction.

Reconnect the Groovin connector in your tool's settings, then continue. See [When the connection expires](https://docs.groovin.ai/reference/mcp/oauth.md#when-the-connection-expires).

## "Groovin connector problem"

Your assistant can connect, but something on your account blocks every tool. The message says what is wrong:

| Reason | What to do |
| - | - |
| `No Groovin account is linked to…` | Reconnect with the email of your Groovin account |
| `Your Groovin account setup is incomplete…` | Connect your CRM in the extension |
| `Your Groovin subscription is not active…` | Renew your subscription |
| The Billing admin message | Ask an org admin to change your role to Member |

Retrying changes nothing until this is fixed.

## A tool fails

Your assistant reads the error and usually explains it. These are the messages you may see:

| It says | What it means | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| `RATE LIMITED` | LinkedIn or your CRM is slowing you down | Wait at least 5 minutes. Do not give up on the task |
| `This may be transient` | A temporary problem | Try again after a short pause |
| `Do NOT automatically re-send` | A send may or may not have gone out | Check the conversation first |
| `MONTHLY API LIMIT REACHED` | Your CRM's monthly quota is used up | Wait for the reset. Retrying will not help |
| `This LinkedIn account is not connected` | LinkedIn is disconnected | Reconnect LinkedIn in Groovin |

> If your assistant reports a send error, ask it to check the conversation before trying again. The message may already be gone.

## Fixing a connection

| Symptom | Fix |
| - | - |
| It keeps asking you to log in | The sign-in did not finish. If your tool supports headers, use an API key |
| `Invalid or revoked API key` | Create a new key and paste it again, keeping the `Bearer ` prefix |
| The tools do not show up | Check the address, your config file and your plan, then fully restart the app |
| You cannot find "Add custom connector" | Your plan or workspace does not allow custom connectors, or developer mode is off |
